Ferrari 488

The Ferrari 488 was unveiled in 2015 to replace the 458. The 488 GTB uses a new 3.9 L (3,902 cc) twin-turbocharged Ferrari F154 V8 engine renamed to F154 CB specifically for use in the 488. The twin turbochargers are supplied by IHI/Honeywell and are parallel ball-bearing twin-scroll turbochargers paired with two air-to-air intercoolers. A low-density titanium aluminide alloy makes up the compressor wheels and reduces inertia and resists high temperatures within the turbocharger. The 488’s name comes from having 488 cc per cylinder.
